Good morning all,
I am closing on a new house ($321k) tomorrow and need some advise. I currently have 2 credit cards, Best Buy (since 2003) $1800 Limit with a $335 balance and a Cap1 visa $3k limit $0 balance. It is time to close my car leases and get new ones on the same day (Thursday). I want to apply for 2 higher limit cards since my Credit scores went up to current scores.I can't turn in the leases and get the new cars before I close on the house (advice from LO). Once I close on the house, Mind you I have 5 inquiries in the last 2 month due to New Credit card (Cap1) and mortgage rate shopping. I' am worried that I will not be approve for the 2 CC cause the inquiries and if I wait too much time the mortgage shows on my credit reports.
1. When should I apply for the credit cards? before or after getting the new cars?
2. How long do I have before the new mortgage shows on my credit reports?
3. I want the NFCU Signature Card; Which other card (High limit) should I get that pulls report from a different CRA than NFCU?
Please advice
Thanks

NFCU is an anomaly in issuing high start limits, most CUs will start you off with more than a regular bank. If you have had no problem in the past with Chase I would suggest the Chase Freedom for its rotating 5% categories.

I applied on Jan 5 for a chase Sapphire and was denied due to an erroneous(not mine)baddie that was deleted via dispute after I applied. Will chase approve after just a month and 23 days from the CSP application denial?
It will be a new app/inq
If your CR has changed enough in that time frame to warrant an approval, sure they will. Getting your score is just a snapshot in time. Also, it will give them something different to consider at manual review.
