Credit Card Application Spree?

Hi everyone!

What are the pro's and con's while going on a app spree? This term is used very often but I don't know the basics on how to execute this the best way possible. Reason I ask beside learning is because I have a lot of interest in the Jetblue Plus card but also on 2-3 more cards and I would like to know if I can use 1 hard pull for more than 1 credit card application on different providers.

Thanks in advance!

Re: Credit Card Application Spree?

Each issuer isgoing to do their own HP for your app and they will stay on your report whether you are approved or not.  You want to be confident that you will get approvals to make those HPs worthwhile and be ready for future credit availability to be affected by those HPs.

Good luck!

Thank you for your response.

So let's say I do two HP and each pull cost me 8 points I get hit for 16 points?

Re: Credit Card Application Spree?

In theory, yes. But not all HP's will be worth the same amount of points. A lot of factors go into determining credit score degradation.

Cheers!
