Hi All,
First time posting to the forums, but long time forum "Stalker". So much great information on here, so thank all of you for silently guideing me through my early Credit Years....
On to my Question. I'm 22 and my Credit History goes back 2 Years, 8 Months on my oldest Credit Card, a Santander (Formerly Sovereign) Bank SPHERE CC. Not a very impressive card by any means, and the $600 limit doesn't do much for me. at all. Recently, Santander came out with the Bravo Card, which offers 3x on Gas/Groceries/Restaraunts, which is much more appealing. Assuming that Santander allows a PC from Sphere-->Bravo, will the card still retain its original "Age" on my Credit Report?. Does this vary on the situation or is their a definitive anwser? Although I have a relativley diverse CC portfolio, they are all much more recent than my Santander.
Thank you all for any insight you can provide...
Short Summary of my CC's (Working on a Forum Signature..)
Discover IT: 7K Limit
Chase Freedom: 4.5K Limit
Sallie Mae World Mastercard: 6K Limit
Santander Sphere: $600 Limit
Amazon Store Card: $1.8K Limit
Target REDcard: $1.2K Limit
If I can remember correctly I believe that PC on a product only changes the card, the credit card number (your account number) stays the same the only thing different is the physical card
