Credit Card highest limit question

My capital one reports that my highest limit spent 2598
My limit on that card is 2500 is that bad or hurt me with potential lenders ??

My other cards that were closed also has limit spent past my card limits


Current score TU 708, EX 686 EQ 715

yes its pretty bad, you sould try to bring it down below $250

I think the OP is talking about the high water mark, not current util, so he/she may not be able to bring it down.

It isn't bad.  You could have had a $10K credit line at one point and voluntarily had it reduced.  You can't assume that you went over limit because of the high balance in comparison to the current limit.

Or you could have had your CLs re-allocated to another card.

Yeah.. You could have had a CLD for all they know. If it bothers you though, try the EO for a CLI anyway? Smiley Happy That elimates the problem plus your UTL will be better!
