Credit Cards/Approvals

Based on my inquiries on my report, certain companies go to Experian others don't, some pull from Equfax and not trans union. Which credit card companies inquire through Experian? which thru Trans Union? and which thru Equifax. The reason why I ask is my scores vary between agencies and I've been approved because they went thru Equifax which is higher and then another company pulled fro Experian which is lower. So how do you know which look up which agencie for approval?

It really depends on the CCCs (credit card companies) and where you live. Some CCCs utilize a certain CRA (credit reporting agency) more than others.

Amex is a huge EX puller

Discover mostly EX or TU

CITI mostly EQ

Macy's mostly EX

Chase might pull any one of the three, they're very hard to predict

I live in Hawaii, aka EX land. I suggest you ask about a specific CCC and tell everyone which state you're in, you might very well get some good information.

All depends on where live every Citi card i have applied for has always pulled EX. GE is a big EQ puller.

I also live in so cal and here is a list of who pulled what for me.

Chevron-Eq

Sams -Eq

Wal Mart- Eq

Jc Pennys - Eq

Capitol One -Eq/Ex/Tu ( i believe Cap One always pulls all 3)

Chase (Circuit City)-Eq

Norstrom-Eq

Target-Eq

Macys-Ex

Chase Master Card-Ex

Hsbc (Best Buy)-Eq

Amex, Target, and Walmart all pull EQ in So. Cali I believe... Most of the larger credit unions also pull EQ. Sears pulls EX.
