What exactly are they looking for when you request a CLI online? They ask for income and housing payment yet you never have to send any proof.
Its a mystery with Cap1, my scores went up over 100 points and I still had to go through the EO for an awesome $500 CLI. Scores don't seem to matter with Cap1 as much as lots of usage...at least in my case. YMMV.
No idea with CapOne.
I was denied a CLI on my 1 year old $1500 card last week for not enough card usage and too many inquiries. I contacted them on Facebook and EO called me yesterday.
I explained that I thought using the card for $100 or so each month and PIF was responsible card usage... and even got a letter when Barclay gave me a CLI thanking me for using their card responsibly. Funny how banks differ in opinion.
I explained the 1 inquiry this year was an auto refi... the others are 6-12 months old from opening my new accounts last year. It doesn't seem too difficult to see that I am deserving of an increase... And I told them if they want to see more usage that's what they need to do.
Waiting on a return call...

If it helps -- and I doubt it will, as Cap1's CLIs seem to work by an unknown methodology -- I was declined for a CLI at EX620, but was able to recon for a $250 increase. At EX699/EQ689, I was automatically given a $2000 increase.
For CLIs, by the way, it looks like Capital One softpulls Equifax, as my most recent TU/EX reports don't list any contemporaneous inquiry from them.

Good to know.
My EO review is pending and EQ is my high score.

I asked for $1500 to $3000... They gave me $500 to $2000. Just saw it in online banking... Waiting on a return call still.
I got my first $1300 CLI six months after I graduated credit setps and another $500 CLI six months after that............
