No credit card required
Browse credit cards from a variety of issuers to see if there's a better card for you.
There are 3 or 4 accounts i'm looking to open next week but am curious if this is a practice:
Free two credit reports and app a couple times
Unfreeze one then freeze the other two and app a couple times
and then one more time.
I don't even know fi that's possible, just something I thought of in the last 30 seconds.
The mods will soon remind you that discussion of this is not sanctioned in the myfico forums. That aside, some issuers will insist you unfreeze the report they want to pull (your suggestion has also occurred to them!) so at least in some cases won't work.
What is allowed (and to me this is a meaningless distinction but I don't make the rules) is to app for cards that pull different bureaus. This has a similar impact of "controlling" which CRA is looked out for the app.

OP,
The freezing of a CR(s) so that a lender will pull a different bureau inorder to receive a more favorable outcome on an application/CLI request - is not to be discussed on myFICO and is a violation of TOS.

strange, but makes sense. No problem.
