I am interested in applying for a new credit card. My TU is 720 and EQ is in the high 6s. My EX is frozen as I'm disputing some items. I am interested in AMEX or something like a chase freedom. I plan on paying it off each month. I currently have a capital one with a low limit. My total utilization is low. I don't want to unfreeze my EX as I fear I'll get denied. Any direction or assistance would be greatly appreciated...

Pretty sure that Amex pulls exclusively EX, so you'll have to count them out if you don't want to unfreeze your report.

Chase generally pulls TU, go for a freedom, or if you're less than sure, the Amazon Visa is easier to get.

Chase always pulled EX for me in MA (for both freedom and BA vis sig and also for a decline 1 year bk)

I appreciate the responses. I'm in New York. All ideas or recommendations, credit card, are welcome. I apped AMEX and said they only check experian.

I say try Chase, there's at least a 2/3 chance that they pull EQ or TU, and if you shop at Amazon, go for the amazon Visa, a high 6 to 720 score should do well with Chase.

Thanks for the direction! I applied for the Chase Freedom and was quickly approved. I very much appreciate everyone's comments and suggestions.

congrate on your approval, I believe chase doesn't tell CL online at the time of approval.

If you call their automated number, it may say "still being reviewed", dun worry about that, it will changed to approved in 4-5 days and will tell you your CL once the message changes to approved.

Congratulations on the approval!  Chase Freedom is a great card and has an excellent rewards program.  Make sure you PIF every month though.  Chase still uses double cycle billing and it can drive you crazy if you revolve a balance with them.  You'll have finance charges that linger...
