So I keep trying to see if they prequalify me for an HSBC or Orchard CC. It always gave me the option for Secured. Now I did them again and I was prequalified for an Orchard Gold and HSBC card. I knwo this doesn't mean approved, but do I have a good chance? I had a household/Orchard CC charge off a few years ago but was paid.

When I check BOA preapproval I qualify only for secured card. When I visit a BOA branch I am always offered some 0% BT card.
So, IMO, those preapprovals are very unreliable. If I were you I would wait. JMO.
Anyway, good luck.
