Credit card wish list (phase 2)

[ Edited ]

No harm in thinking ahead to my next mini app spree after refi around June.  By then I expect the following:  1. I'll be 15 months past my last late, 2. I'll have a CC with over 5k limit (AMEX Delta/Walmart and maybe NFCU); and 3. I'll have scores around 680 EQ, 710 TU, 700+ EX.

These are my cards I'm targeting in my next phase of rebuild.  Let me know if yall see any glaring problems or omissions on my part.

1. Chase Sapphire (maybe Slate if I'm not progressed enough for this one)

2. AMEX BCE or SPG (not sure on this one)

3. Citi Forward

4. Some kind of Discover card (suggestions?)

5. Barclay card? (not a need so will probably get the axe)

Cards I currently have:

1. Cap1 Secured 1.4k limit (will deposit enough to have 2k limit)

2. WF Secured 700 limit    (will deposit enough to have 2k limit)

3. AMEX Zync NPSL

4. AMEX Delta 2k limit     (will go for 3x CLI in late Nov)

5. Walmart Discover 1.8k limit  (expected CLI via soft pull in late Jan 2013)

6. Chase Amazon 2k limit

7. Chase Freedom 1.5k limit

(8) I'll be eligible for NFCU next week.  I'll either have card in early Oct. or will app for it after refi.

EDIT:  THIS WAS MY 1000TH POST !!!

Re: Credit card wish list (phase 2)

Why bother with increasing the secured CL? I would close the Capital One and if you bank with Wells or something, maybe keep.

Discover, have you tried the pre-qual? you could probably get now... More or the new "it" I like the "it" but not sure it's really different from more but either way, newest out, I like it better! lol

and I would say Navy Credit Card and Navy Nav Check for sure. what about refi with them?

Fico Scores: EQ- 670., TU 710 Sync, EX 728 SoFi(05/04/15)

Re: Credit card wish list (phase 2)

I posted this in another thread but heyyy...I'll post it again here too! LOL.

Amex Blue Cash

Chase Freedom or BofA Cash Rewards

They really need to have one super awesome card with all the features I want on one then I wouldn't have sooo many!! Though I did get a preapproval offer from AMEX for their gold card but me no likey AFs...lol

The truth is out there...

I'd get rid of my 1-2-3 and be very happy with a BCP.

Re: Credit card wish list (phase 2)

The only card that is currently out of reach (without some shifting around) is a JPM Palladium card. If they increase the benefits in the next few years, then I'll move over 250k to CPC. Until then I'm not sure if the benefits are really worth the cost, other than the wow-factor.

Is you go for the Chase Sapphire Preferred your going to want a CL of over $5,000 on a diffrent card before you apply. They like to see you've dealt with larger cards before because they're minimum CL is $5,000

Re: Credit card wish list (phase 2)

Amex should be over 5k and Walmart should also. If I pull trigger on NFCU that should also be over 5k.

Once I get these cards I'm closing cap1 and will move those funds over to WF. I have savings there and they are more likely to unsecure card. Funds will stay there in savings.
