Is this only free free for people with secured cards, or any Cap1 customer?

Edit: After speaking with a capital one CSR tonight, they told me it is impossible to sign up for free CreditInform through capital one anymore....however, if anyone here knows differently, please speak up because it sounds like a good serve.

Re: Creditinform

I already get the EX plus score, and that looks like what creditinform is giving out. I'm still not sure though.

In the garden since 7/27/12 after getting two credit rebuilding cards.

I just thought it was a bit crazy. I thought when I checked my EX score from creditinform for the past few months that it was Mod Cut scoring model. But the fact that my Amex Fico is identical at 774 is sort of weird, but great at the same time.

From the CMS Guide here onsite:

Credit Inform Premier via CapOne - $8.99/mo - FAKO (CreditXpert) - This service pulls your EX report quarterly and analyzes everything for you w/ charts, graphs, etc. The monitoring service monitors EX only and does so on a daily basis. The score offered is a CreditXpert score.

Thats a shame if that is the case.  I got my cap1 secured card back in early June and was able to sign up for my free service.  I had to request it on phone and then wait for packet to arrive in mail.  Took a couple weeks to set it up.  I have recently received my first score update and I went from 653 to 694.  Nice jump.

I too have heard that this one and/or Credit Sesame are pretty accurate for judging where your real EX FICO score will be.  It may just be an example of a broken clock being right twice a day and not really accurate.  On my end, I hope they are.  My CS is 712 so if I take the average of those two my real EX FICO would be over 700 :smileyhappy:

Guess I'll find out if my broken clock is right when I app for AMEX later this year.

Starting Score: EQ 551 TU 548 CK 607on 6/8/12, EX 542(AMEX pull 3/4/12)
Current Score: EQ 678 TU 702 (Amex pull) EX 724 (Amex) CK 682 (FAKO-EX 684, EQ 684, TU 684)
Goal Score: 750

My credit sesame score is 767,creditinform is 774, and my actual EX Fico is 774.... So those are pretty close, but who knows, maybe it's coincidence.

It is now a monthly report instead of quarterly.   The score is close to FICO in my case, and it is a nice service considering it is free.

Re: Creditinform

I just enrolled, confirmed the service is "at no additional cost' just as the brochure (that came with the card) states. I called 1-877-511-7704, enrolled in less than 5 minutes.

Did you have a secured card, or just a regular cap1 card?

Edit: Just called up, it's only available for secured cards.
