Thanks for all the information, everyone. The cruise line is Carnival, so I have already switched the card from Citi DC to my Chase CSP to benefit from the travel category. I just hit spending 3k in the last month with my CSP, so the 40k points will be awarded soon enough, which brings me to about 56k points right now - not including what I rack up while on the cruise. So next time I go on vacation I will have a nice amount of points to transfer to a travel partner.
