Curious about cap1 secured.

Was recently approved and deposited 200.

I called and they said they do not unsecure (graduate) accounts. 

BUT..their website says:

"Get access to a higher credit line after making your first 5 monthly payments on time with no additional deposit needed"

So how does this work? 

Would you get your deposit back after a while?

Unlike every other secured card ive read about the only way to get your deposit back is to cancel the card. That may change in the future, but for now thats how it is. Last year you could send more money for a higher limit, but starting this year they no longer accept additional deposits but will increase you at 6 months. So it will become partially secured, but you will still be out 200$ until you cancel.
