DCU CLI and Loan Question

I opened my DCU membership back in 11/12 and was Approved for a Plat Card with a 1500$ Limit. My scores were around 625 at the time and high UTI around 90%. Since then I'm down to around 8-10% UTI(once all accounts update) and was wondering if they would use 1 Hard Pull to give me a CLI and a possible Auto Refi(at 10% with CAp 1)? Once all my Payments Post i should be around the 700+ fico mark. I had 1 collection removed ths month along with a BK removed(woohoo) and a old Auto loan with 2 30 day lates updated to paid as agreed with no lates. My Profile is pretty much Clean as can be with AOAA at 3.3 years(oldest account 7.1 year)  I want to pull a new copy of my EQ Fico but im waiting for all my accounts to Update. Do I have a shot at a CLI? I dont want to waste a hard pull for nothing and I want a higher limit card on my profile badly. I Think my low limit cards keep me from getting a decent CL.

Current Fico's: TU 797 / EQ 785 / EX 775

You only need a 675 to qualify for a 1.99% auto refi so you're good there. Below 675, yoou would be offered 5% likely.

You would need a 700 to get your apr on your visa down to 9.5%, but that seems likely too.

As for CLI's they are pretty generous. shoot for the skies.

Lastly, you'll likely have to get your pay direct deposited with them to get their lowest rates.

I apologize for judging, but there seems to be quite the a history of bad financial management. Treat DCU right and you'll have the credit and banking services you need for life.

Re: DCU CLI and Loan Question

Perfectly understandable. I sometimes fear how quickly and easily my financial situation would unravel should i become unemployed. congrats on making a come back and good luck wth your DCU refi. mine was painless, but note they will only hp once for any number of thier products you want within a 45 day window.

in my case, they hp'd me in feb and i only qualified for their 5% refi, so I had to wait until late march to get another pull done to get their 1.99% refi.

for my next car loan, I'll likely be going to alliant or gte cu as they offer 1.74% financing. a marginal but worthwhile savings over DCU.

Re: DCU CLI and Loan Question

You can actually request a manual review for a CLI every 45 days technically. I went from 7.5k in feb to 15k in march with the same pull I used for my car loan refi. I figured since the pull was done already, might as well ask for the CLI.

If you do the CLI through their web site, I think its limited to every 6 months.

My FICO when I applied for 669 or something like that on EQ. There was a NYS tax satisfied judgement holding my score down which I have since gotten removed through an MOV letter. Lesson for everyone else, EQ is not too keen on fulfilling MOV letters on public records, so they're more than likely to just delete the PR.

Re: DCU CLI and Loan Question

Ok, I'll wait until my scores rebound ( 6 mos) before requesting a CLI. I was at 715 when I app'd - hopefully then it will be over 730 for that lower rate!

Interesting about EQ. They are the only ones still reporting my Ch13 from 2005. Really Pissing me off!!! Sounds like I'll try that letter 😏

Re: DCU CLI and Loan Question

675 EQ TU08 will get you their lowest auto refi rate of 1.99%.

730 EQ TU08 will get you their lowest Platinum Visa APR (non-rewards version) of 8.5%.

you should dispute the BK first to have them verify it, then send them a handwritten MOV letter. I would be careful though, might trigger the BK to get reported to the other CRA's. Not sure on this, but do your own research to confirm.

Re: DCU CLI and Loan Question

Thanks, the bk was on the other 2 but it dropped after 7 years.

. I got the 1.99 rate last month and the 9.5- so I would only be going down to 8.5.

Sorry, OP did not mean to hijack your thread.
