Who do they pull for membership, and are they known for easy credit approvals?

Seriously they instantly approved me for 7500 with 14 inqs on EQ and about 14 new accounts opened within 4 months when i apped.

I called today my application is under review and I verified they received all my docs. The CSR told me it might be until the end of the week before I get approved, according to the New Accounts dept. Mind you I apped for membership 12am on Monday. The CSR tried to get a set timeline for me but couldnt get anything more concrete than what I just said, she was nice. I honestly, just don't know what the hold up is. It's like going through flipping customs.

Damn it, jsickz32 would you think it's possible for me to recon on my limit after I get the welcome package and membership no.? Lol.

I was approved for $10k with 7 inq- all of my revolving credit is 6 mos or newer (8 reporting at the time I app'd). I know they want at least a CS of 675 for their unsecured Visa. I remember reading that they will approve with some baddies but not recent ones. In my case my Ch13 is still reporting but its 8 years from the date of dismissal.

I was approved for membership within the hour. I joined thru a uncle who has 3 car loans with DCU.

Nope and i called couple days ago about cli and they told me that now you have to wait for your year anniversary to ask for a cli.

I believe they also use an outside source for identity verification. Idk but that might be the reason for any delays in membership processing.

I have been a member so long- I can't remember the turnaround time. I just sent in my packet and a week later my welcome packet was in the mail- that was 8 years ago. TBH, I can't remember how I was affiliated/organization needed to be eligible. I live in So Cal and have never stepped foot in a branch.

@jsickz - Waiting a yr. is fine, I'll just take them to build a good relationship with them. Do they HP for a CLI though or is there a way around that for these guys?
