DCU has a pending notification for my membership app and CC app... They asked for a copy of my license so I sent it over for the savings application. Nothing as of yet with CC app as they told a representative would be in contact with me... Im thinking maybe I should of signed up for checking too? Does that matter?
Is anyone familiar with the DCU applications
Thanks
They never asked me for ID so I'm not sure about the steps, but certainly pick up the phone and call them. You know how stuff can slip through the cracks!
EDIT: I just thought about something. My account was pending as well for awhile until they actually received the money from my other account. I signed up on a Saturday and I think I used my debit card for the deposit, but anyway my account wasn't set up until Wednesday when they were sure that the funds had cleared. They also told me that my CC wouldn't be sent out until the funds were cleared up as well.
Sunday, I applied online and was instantly approved for $10k Visa.
I also received an email stating that somebody would be in contact with me.
Monday, I received an email stating that I need to complete my membership or start a membership.
I did so by joining/donating to one of their affiliated organizations.
I was also asked to send a photocopy of my I.D.
ALmost forgot, I did set up a checking and savings and put $50 in the checking via debit card.
Tuesday, received another email saying my photocopy of I.D. was too small. So I sent another.
Wednesday, received an email saying congratulations on my new membership.
said I would receive all my membership info in 7-10 days.
And, it also said "If you are looking to finalize a loan or Visa application, you may contact our loan dept at xxxxxxxxxx."
So I called them on my lunch today because I wasn't sure if there was something else that I had to do on my end.
And unbeknownst to me, there was. They needed to see my last check stub. Nobody from DCU had told me that.
It wasn't a problem, but I'm just wondering if they were going to contact me and let me know that they needed that pay stub?
Don't know if that helps your situation...but that 's the process I went through.
So I'm guess/hoping I'll receive an email tomorrow telling me my VISA is on its' way.
Yea they don't send an email saying that your card is on the way. But I did recieve the card within a week of the CC approval. I think the major CC's send a notification like Discover and Amex, not DCU. It just comes in a plain envelope regular snail mail.
I'm a member; was approved for $7,500.00 online, joined -- loan status funded. My only stip was pay stub, scanned sent them in, got a call like they said i would -- declined, decision reversed, too many inquiries of recently. I said, well I'm a member now, thanks, and to reverse after a stip has been met is frustrating, perhaps you should trust you're online system or disbar it.
My two cents; never apply again.
