Congrats on the CL! It does appear they need a lot of information. I have provided pay-stubs, W-2's, and ID for now before they have asked just to be prepared. Fingers crossed.

It's so weird how much more work you guys have had to do.  Within 7 days I've had a fully open savings and checking account with funds, received a bank check for $17k for an auto loan, and am just waiting on the mail to be delivered with my VISA card.

Im in NY(mabey thats why?), and I was prepared as I read from others about the documentation requirements. I have no issue with someone who wants to verify my identilty, its good for me as well as them at the end of the day!

Re: DCU Pending

Same here.  I'm local and all I had to do was show my license and tell them my SSN when I went into a branch.  I'm wondering if it's a combination if things in the report coupled with being remote that makes them be really cautious.  I went in with my SS card, birth cert, passport and last paycheck stub but didn't need any of them.  Maybe I just have an honest face.  :smileyvery-happy:

Obtaining a new SSN card was my only hiccup, and it really wasn't bad,  20 minute ride and about another 20 minute wait at the SS office. Was pleased with the CL as it got me above the 5k mark. :smileyhappy:

Re: DCU Pending

I suppose I could see the denial of the CC with your current scores.  But I'd be surprised if they deny a membership as long as you give them the right documentation and don't have a bad Chexsystems report (I assume they check this).  As for the CC, maybe you can establish an otherwise good banking relationship as a member and reapply in a few months once your numbers are up a bit.  Good luck!  Keep us apprised of the membership decision.

Re: DCU Pending

Since one of their reasons is the length of history, how long have you had your other cards open?
