I think he already took the ding for the app and the new account. Idk if creditOne has already applied the AF to the account, regardless whether or not you activate the card. With the approvals he got prior to CreditOne, he would of been better off not applying for credit one.
Cancel right away. Worst case, they applied the fee, which is done monthly. However, that's only $8 or so. Close and don't look back.

CANCEL. Throw it away. Maybe even burn it.

Hello MyFico!
Question about DH's credit.
He has a very thin file. One paid, closed auto loan and a paid, closed rent to own account were his only positive TLs. 2 collection accounts due to fall off near the end of 2016.
In October I added him as an AU to my cap 1 plat. SL $300 > now $1.3k.
In Feb he apped for the QS1 approved for $300 hit the luv button last week New limit $800.
March got a cap 1 plat $500 and Wal-Mart store card $300.
My question:
He got a pre-approval for credit one and applied. Got a $300 limit with $75 AF.
Got the card yesterday but I don't think he should activate it.
What do you think? Should he stick to what he has or add the credit one?
Can he just not active it or call to cancel?
TIA!
RUN!!! I just closed them, and I swear I waited for the close update with the CRAs like it was a CLI. It's not worth it to deal with them - toy limits and high interest and fees.
