So my dad got the Capital One cash rewards (that green card) about 3 or 4 months ago and his starting limit was $2000. He just got an auto CLI of $500 in his last statement.
This makes me angry considering I have had my capital one since 2005 and have never had a late payment on it but it's stuck at $500! Oh well, it has no annual fee and 10.9% APR so I'll leave it sock drawered.
IIRC, their $300 / $500 starter cards never go above $500. You have to, again IIRC, close the card and apply for a new one. I don't have a card from them, so I could be wrong about that, but I seem to recall having heard that more than once on here.
It is my oldest card so I don't think i'm going to shut it down anytime soon. I have heard that too. It started at $200 (I was 18 when I got it) and went up to 500 after a couple of months and has been stuck there since.
same here. But mine is stuck at 750. I tried to get a CLI, but was denied and told I'd get an explanation in the mail. called cs and they told me they didn't know why either, No wonder they call it crap!....lol
what is IIRC?
Yes, credit steps with the new card. Having the card a while - not likely for sudden CLI. Possible...but not likely at all.

I agree, very very rere indeed.
Do you think Crapital One will ever lift this whole never give a CLI policy? I mean it has to change. They're losing customers because of it! They have to see it.
