@finallyfixingit wrote:My first recon was successful, but it resulted in a hard pull, so I have to reset my gardening date. I am ok with that though. Now that I have my unsecured card I can take the time to let that grow with my other cards. I can stop obsessing with this site. LOL
Welcome back and congrats on successful recon!

I like the subtle understatement Congrats on the new house!

Congrats! Are you gonna spree a bit now?
Anyone have suggestions on dealing with Discover CLIs through Recon? I've read a bunch of threads on here about the issue, but it's all pretty much depending on the credit analyst you get. I have about $30,000 in a savings account with them, that has been open and in good standing for 2 years, and my credit card is going on 3 years old. However, I only have a $2,800 limit on my card. I refuse to do a hard pull, but it seems to me they are being unreasonable. I was denied through soft pull, then Recon'd with no success. If I do not receive a rather sizeable increase in March/April when I apply again (being a good boy and waiting the 3 months like they asked), then I will move my money from Discover to another bank.

Nah, I don't think so. I would love an AmEx for backdating purposes but I don't see them welcoming me back yet

I just got a soft pull CLI by calling the 800discover and using the automated system!
I'm getting in a little late in the game for December, but better late than never! I have opened too many accounts this month. I need to sit on all this until after July (7/31/2015) and see where the pieces fall. I have several baddies due to fall off in Apr/May 2015, so I figure gardening through July is just what the horticulturist ordered! By then, with my current cards, and some baddies gone, I should be sitting pretty well... only time will tell!
@Anonymous wrote:Starting to like this Amex card even more Had a $5 back offer for spending $15 or more at walmart.com. Purchased a gift for $44. Too bad its limited to 1 statement credit per offer. Ah well still have Discover and Sallie Mae for Wal-Mart purchases Evening everyone!
I REALLY like their specials. Just enough to keep in budget. Recent ebags.com (needed new purse and wallet anyway), 10 for 50, they also have the free 2day shop runner shipping, and code enjoy got an additional 20% amount off, so spent much less than would on most outlet sites. Already used the Wally one.
PS, on day 60, I requested 5k (no, I don't want 10k card), and got it. When reports, util go WAY down.
