Thank you coldnmn and all who responded. 

Also, thanks to the mod that added my little seedling. But, does this mean that I cannot alter the other portion of my signature, now? I tried to add my GC goal time at the very end of my signature and got the dreaded error message again. I will be gardening until 6/2015, if  mods need that info?

I think you should be able to after an certain amount of posts. I think its the spam filter kicking in that doesn't allow you to modify sig right now?

Current score : TBD
2015 goal: 700+
2016 goal: 750+
Carefully gardening until 6/2015<------------ I was able to add this

Merry Christmas to me!!!

Years ago I had an unsettled balance with my university that I was not aware of.  I did not know I owed a balance until I was contacted by the collection agency months later.  Once contacted, I made immediate payment.  Unfortunately, this left me with a collections item on my Experian credit report.

Last week, I sent an email to the collection agency to humbly request a deletion of the collection from my credit report.  I was inspired after reading the rebuilding threads one day.

Today I got an alert from my credit monitoring.  My Experian score had risen from 710 to 737.  After sifting through my report to figure out what may have triggered such a dramatic increase, I notice that the collection item had been deleted!

I joined our local CU today which resulted in an HP.  Time to reset my gardening date.  At least I never left the seedling stage.
