Are you a member of a credit union? You may be able to get an unsecured card if you print out your EX report and bring it in.

Call the backdoor reconsideration number listed on the stickies and talk to them about it. Do you have a BK showing on your credit reports? They are very BK unfriendly...even for their secured cards.

Re: Declined for BoA Secured Card?

Hi, this may not be true I had a BK from year 99 i was approved for a secured card from BOA 9/07 score at that time around high 500's low 600's i applied $300.00 at the time then later on added another $200.00.  I paid on time and in 9 months my card graduated to regular platinium card with a cli of $500.00 and i still have a BK on my credit reports.  This is a very good card if you treat it right, I really would call the reconsideration department and convince them to give you this card, it is a really good card for the rebuilding stage.  Good Luck Hope you get it.
