Yes. I should have mentioned that in my post. It was an offer when I logged in to my AMEX account.

So let me see if i understand this correct? an additional 1000 miles for 1k spend up to 5000 miles. So that being said. The max additional is 5000 miles. so if i spend 5k. that means im getting 10k miles? Not a great deal if you ask me. but i could be wrong. 1 mile per dollar. unless on delta. so im guessing im getting 2 for 1. and up to 5000 miles. So if i spend 5k i get 10k in miles. No thanks.
