Delta Amex Offer Screwup

In my zeal to apply for my new Amex cards on Monday, I neglected to check my junk mail pile. While I signed up for the 35,000/5,000 Delta Platinum offer, it turns out I have an open offer for 45,000/15,000, with the same spend requirement. (In my defense, and it's not a good defense, it didn't show up on my online Amex offers.) How willing is Amex to change the offer after I've already been approved?

call them, tell them the story, give them the offer number, done

EDIT: i had a similar story. i got approved for the platinum card (50k bonus) but got a 75k offer in the mail like the next day. i called them and they honored the offer. and it wasn't even the same exact product. i applied for the Mercedes benz AmEx platinum while the mail offer was for the regular AmEx platinum.
