The offer shows 35,000 bonus miles after $1,000 spent, plus a $50 statement credit after making a Delta purchase. Is this the best offer out there for the Gold, both now and ever?
Considering it for the backdating and booking a future flight, but if it's not the "best" I won't even bother. Not a card I absolutely need, just thinking of the benefits.
Thanks for your opinions
The best ever I have seen was 70,000 miles. I got and approved for a 50K bonus this past December.
So 35K isn't really a good offer, just a bit better compared to standard 30K offer.
Not sure if this is the best offer or not. But generally you get 30,000 Miles for a new card. This is just 5K more.
Many suggested me that reward structure for the Delta is not that good. So one option is to check their structure and see, if any thing they offer interests you. Keep in mind that if you don't use this card, often there is AF of $95
Also, many have got this and successfully PC to BCE to save AF. Hope this gives you some info.

IBM: the higher bonus was for the Gold, right? Not for the Platinum or Reserve?
Good to know; i will hold off!
Thanks everyone!
Yes, 70K for Gold. never seen that big of a bonus for Platinum

Good to know! Just researched it and looks like that was back at the end of 2012; looks like it was 25000 after first spend and then 45000 after $5,000 spend within 6 months. Thanks!
I got the 40K offer back in aug-13.

I got an email from Delta today offering 50k bonus miles + $50 statement credit after $1k spend in 3 months. This is for the Gold, AF waived first year.
50k + $50 with $1000 spend isn't too bad. OP, have you looked at redemption for Skypesos? It's a bit....lacking (to say the least). You might be better off going for something like CSP or Arrival, unless you're Delta loyal and/or checking bags. Alaska miles even go further than Delta miles - on Delta aircraft. Go figure.
I got this in my email today. Is this a targeted offer?
