Denied CLI for Walmart & Old Navy

Aother reading all the posts about CLI successes. I tried my luck.  I opened Old Navy ($300) in November and Walmart ($600) in October. I have $52000 in annual income. No mortgage or car note. I have no collections and have not been late on a payment in 4.6 years. Why am I stuck at these crummy limits. I always pay in full before the due date. However in November I opened Old Navy in store on Black Friday with a $213 purchase. Tthe account and the balance reported 4 days later. Once Ireceived my card in the mail I paid that off. Any ideas out there? Sorry for the typos my IPad won't allow me to edit. I know my signature says my CS is 655 but it's really 666. I refuse to edit it until I receive another increase.

Re: Denied CLI for Walmart & Old Navy

I recently just got a CLI from Walmart. I believe it has to be at the 6 month mark to even be eligible for a CLI. Others might chime in but that was the case for me.

i just got my Walmart Discover in November. I called the backdoor number today to get an increase. Maybe you should try that route.

Re: Denied CLI for Walmart & Old Navy

The rule of thumb with GE is you wait for the 4th statement to cut before you call for a CLI.

Some people get lucky before the 4th statement, but for your best odds wait the full 4 cycles.

Walmart ($2000) - Amazon ($5500) - Cap1 Cash Rewards ($2000) - Meijer ($2500) - Discover More ($1800) - Car Care One ($2100) - Amex Delta Skymiles ($2000) - Citi Thank You Preferred ($2000) - Chase Freedom ($500) - Sam's Club, GE ($937?)

Re: Denied CLI for Walmart & Old Navy

how many lates do you have?

inqs?

did you ever burn any companies in the past?

have a bk?

i would pull your full reports and see if there is any negative data on it.

i would find a local cu that reports to all three cra and get a card there. they are usually good with limits.

as for low limits creditorts fall suit.

if you have 10 cc's at 300 each who is going to want to give you a 5k card.

i started walmart at 800 and then went too 3k and then too 5k, but i already had a 3.5k card and a 2.5k card.

alas that 5k card got me another 5k card.

Re: Denied CLI for Walmart & Old Navy

6 lates oin total in 7 years reporting. Filed Ch 13 6/08 discharged early 10/12. My highest limit now is $1000 with Cap 1 Plat, Spark, & Merrick. Merrick should auto increase to $2000 with my 8th statement on the 14th. My Trans does not report my BK. EX & EQ have 6 negs all discharged. Chase & Cap 1 were burned but with low amounts. Less than $1000 each. Hope this helps.
