Need some advice on whether I should pursue further....
"On December 09, 2011, your FICO score was 743."
The following are the key factors that contributed to your FICO score:
Proportion of revolving balances to revolving credit limits is too high. (Current report did not reflect I paid down balance to 20%)
Too few accounts currently paid as agreed. (I only had 1 credit card at the time. My new Apple Barclays Visa just started reporting today)
Lack of recent installment loan information. (CU just started reporting the installment loan I just took out)
Too many accounts with balances. (i only had one.)
Should I go for a recon or just bite the bullet for now and 'garden' on this option?
On another note, i received those "preselected approvals" for a Amex Gold and Zync .. should I hold off on applying for those or can I blast forward?
Thanks for any advice!
Always Recon you already took a hit on the credit

+1
Nothing to lose, everything to gain.
Best of Luck!
Definitely call for recon. Explain that the balance is paid down and just didn't report yet. Hold your ground and be well prepared.
Good luck!!! I have ALWAYS had good luck!!
What is your AAoA?
Any baddies?
you can recon but most likely they are going to be looking at the same report that wasn't update dwhen you applied... I would go ahead and apply for the Gold or the Zync, whichever you like more and then maybe if that is approved call and ask for recon for the credit card and maybe, just maybe they will use the new credit report from charge card application to review credit card!
I think your AAoA could be holding you back. Your score is not the problem but Amex wants a little more.
2 yrs of AAoA and 2 cards open and reporting at least 1yr, 2 would be better if you want an Amex revolving CC.
Zync is always a possibility and ppl have had great success getting in the door that way.
