Yes those both, also they said the analysis of risk associated with customers who have accounts with the creditors in my credit report. Also the amount paid over my bank and retail credit card accounts over the past 12 months is too low <-- that's pretty much verbatim.
Your denial reasons show a good example of why that it's not just the score that counts. The type of creditors you have makes a big difference to some lenders and to FICO scoring as well. My guess is that in combination with your EX report, AMEX internal scoring programs may look for particular names such as First Premier, Credit One, or Orchard, in which case your flagged as a rebuilder. This raises risk. I know that FICO scoring doesn't like "note loans" which include personal loans and payday loans. So in some instances, having an account in good standing and paid in full (depending on type and lender) may do you more harm than good in the long run.
They probably mentioned something about the amount paid on your balances over the last 12 months being to low because the Zync is a charge card, which means payment in full every month, and they could see the potential for you to get into trouble with such a card since you haven't paid down very much on your existing accounts.
