Like the title says, I applied for the BCE and was denied. I have a Zync that i got in June last year which i've run about $2000/month on average through. I've played with the check spending limit button and I'm approved for at least $5000. I'm about to call in for a recon. Two questions.
1. What are my chances?
2. Should I call the executive office or the number with the denial message?
I should also add that I have a somewhat major baddie on my CR. It's a joint account that I've been unable to resolve. You can see more information in my post history if you're interested. It was my first post on this board. Everything else is in good standing.

Afaik, Amex doesn't really recon denials. You need to show that the info on your cr is incorrect and fax them a corrected cr.

They did, by giving you a SP when denied
Anyway, sorry to hear that. Took me 5 months with my charge card to get BCE.
I've also heard that recons are almost impossible with them. That being said, its worth a try, all they can say is no. you may get some idea as to what it would take to get approved in the future with the right rep..
Best to know what the reasons were and if invalid then attempt a recon.
