Denied for Citi Premier Pass - funny denial reason

I got why I was denied, and agree with them. In fact, I'll see if I can't find a recon number somewhere. But I was denied for two reasons:

• Too many recent credit inquiries were recorded on your
  credit bureau report.
• Too many recent credit inquiries are recorded on your
  credit bureau report.

Maybe they were referring to recent inquiries vs. old inquiries.

I had 3 inquiries: declined

They pulled Experian.

I called back last night to try to get a recon. Now I only went to the frontline CSRs, but they said no way. Gave the standard spiel that I would have to send in a revised copy of my CR minus inquiries. Oh well. Maybe in 6-8 months.

They pulled EQ. DW also applied for the same and was rejected due to inquiries and also EQ was pulled.
