So, I called Customer Service to see if I could change my Chase Freedom to a Chase Amazon card, since the new reward system seems to suck. The CSR said I wasn't eligible for the Amazon card, but he said he could get me the Sapphire AND allow me to have bonus rotating categories (3 extra points in 3 categories that change each quarter)? I thought to myself: this sounds great. So, I did it.
Well...my card has been updated online and I've looked carefully over all the info provided and I don't see anything about the bonus rotating categories on my account anymore? Was I dooped? Or was the CSR just an idiot? Any thoughts or similar experiences?
That sapphire seems to give you much less than even the newly modified chase freedom
