I gave my daughter my CU CC with a spending limit for her to use to buy herself some things for her upcoming birthday. I thought I had made an interim payment to bring the balance down, but I blew it and didn't get it done in time. The account went over the CL by $80, but I paid the lump some as soon as I found out. I was planning to ask for a CLI this month, too, dangit, so do you think I blew my shot? I've been trying to use the card, just enough that the CU makes a little interest off me and I've been good at making more than minimum payments. I've had it 6 months.
Thoughts?

I wouldn't worry too much about it. They probably didn't take any AA against you for it at least, is that correct ? No fees or anything ?
If you have had the account for 6 months I'd go ahead and ask for a CLI.

Did the billing cycle actually close with you over the limit, or were you just over the limit mid-cycle?

No,, it's mid-cycle and only for 1 day
