Did any get their card upgraded from JCP Store Card to JCP Visa?

I'm almost certain JC Penney doesn't have a Visa card. They have JCPenney Priivilage Gold and Privilage Platinum. Both just enhanced store cards.

I thought I have seen JC Penny Visa some place. I could be wrong. Or they could have issued at some point of time and then stopped later.

My mom received a JC Penney mastercard in September of last year. She originally opened the store card 15 years ago forgot she had it, when she went to the store to buy gifts she wanted the additional 15% off you get when you use your card and they reopened her card but as a mastercard instead of a store card.

never heard of it but I do know they have tiers black gold and platinum---

What AWLEGZ said. Penny's website does not list a visa or m.c. like macy's, BB does.

Only the black, red, platinum store cards.

Hi Sylvia, I have seen it some where on the Web. May be it is on the GEMB site which is the provider of the card. I am sure I have seen it some place, I am not sure where. I'll call and ask and see if they would upgrade to Major Card.

Great idea concord! I've never heard of the card.

Case solved! I called the backdoor number and spoke to an acct. specialist.

The card DOES exist. By invitation only. And only offered to those people who have the jcp card but haven't used it in such a long time it's either gone dormant, or unable to use it( due to store closings).

The DO still have the program in place...invitation only...and very infrequently offered.
