My capital one secured card shows up as "Capital One Platinum Mastercard" on my cap1 account and on credit karma. I can't remember if it's always shown up as this or if it used to say secured in the description. I also noticed that I have the option to request a credit limit increase online now, instead of just depositing money to increase my limit. Has my card changed from secured to unsecured or has it always shown up as a platinum mastercard? When I saw it, I thought it changed names but of course I can't remember for sure now! If you have the secured card, what is it called on your account? Thanks!
just realized this might be better in the credit cards section, feel free to move it
still getting the hang of the forums
Bump for help
You likely simply never noticed how Capital One reports before and nothung hass changed. I have never heard of Cap One completely unsecuring a secured card (they emphatically make it clear its imposible). In my experience my Capital One secured did not report as secured. Also, the platinum designation likely never changed either. But to confirm just have a chat with the CapOne reps.

No, it didn't change. That is how it always shows on their site, and any other. It doesn't report as a secured card anywhere. That card will never un-secure. I tried through the EO route and every thing.
