I don't think the OP was looking for a $3K line, probably something around 1K which Cap1 / Discover gave.

People say the same thing on a mortgage app.
I wouldnt bother calling back. Obviously BofA isnt 2 year BK friendly. BTW, good job on score. Mid 600's 2 years from BK is really making progress.
The whole conversation with CSR reminded me of my first phone call to BoA in April when I asked for CLI. Almost the same scenario - "I just can't approve this, no way, etc...".
It seems that different people you might get connected to while calling BoA might lead to completely different or even opposite results. I'd try calling them once again anyway, there's nothing to lose, I suppose.
I will never give a dime to BOA. I've been using their free banking for 15+ years.
Do not bother with another recon. Give Discover your business.

Sorry to hear that.I'm rebuilding and firmly believe where one CC provider will not give new credit, in time another one will. I've had many marks on my credit and with time it has slowly improved. I'm also trying to get approved for 1 credit card.Fingers crossed!
what cards where they? i applied for boa a while back said not because of the type of cards that were opened. said they cant give me credit because of those cards even though i had 3-4 years of perfect payments. so i paid closed them and waited 2 months and then got a $800 limit 5-6 months later bumbed me to $1500
And ya'll wonder why I say BofA is dumb. Every situation is like that. One rep is a gatekeeper that locks the gate, the next may be the inside friend you need.
The OP wasn't looking for a $3K line I believe. $500 would have made OP happy. I mean honestly, is that how we rebuild credit? Start with rebuilder cards, with silly limits, or secured cards. In the absence of either of these, the bottom feeders like Credit One, First Premier or Matrix. After a year or so of proper payment, you move up the ladder a little bit. Right? So if the lenders in this situation that did extend credit are not valid, how is a person supposed to prove he/she can be trusted?
