Dillards pre approval. Hard inq?

My husband was shopping on dillards.com

came to check out and put in his info. Pop up came up and he was approved for $300 credit limit.

We clicked take offer and it wants the following info..

Full social sec $

Birthday

Annual income

Mothers maiden name

I have gotten cards through the shopping cart trick before but only had to enter bday and last 4 of social sec #.

He wants the card but not the hard inq. anyone know if it would be a hard or soft inq?

Any help is greatly appreciated. thank you

From what I know, anytime you put in your FULL info, it would be a HP.

mine was a hp, same cl and situation when i opened mine

There was a post earlier about same thing I believe it was a HP from Dillards always.

$300 CL is not worth a HP, in my opinion.

Thank you everyone. I figured it would be a HP since he asked for his full SS. 

Like the other person said, a $300 limit is not worth the HP. Although a GE card would have been nice.
