Diner's Club card

My understanding is that you can not apply for this card again. Did they give a reason why? Will applications reopen?

Is this new information? The last I heard from reps was that the application process would be open again soon, they just didn't have a date.

The answer is that no one knows for sure when or if they ever will reopen the application process.  Lots of varying answers from CSRs.  They shut it down because they were swamped with applications and were unprepared for the volume.

No, I don't have any sort of information other than I know they are not taking apps at the moment. Was just wondering if they ever said why that is.

Their reps cite any number of reasons depending on what time of day you call

That has all the earmarks of a ship that's already sailed. NASA is drawed in the sails but that boat is still afloat for some. Beavers & Ducks left the pond for good eons ago now.
