Diners Club card

Now that the dust as settled and the cards have been out for awhile  what do people think about the DC cards that they got? Are you happy with the card? Any drawbacks or benefits you did not expect?

So far going very smooth n peachy as any other CC's. Only issues that i briefly did have were on the payments end that were quickly resolved by simply pushing thru the payments. I am very much liking not having to juggle them for FICO Util purposes since it's a hidden TL.

Re: Diners Club card

Drawbacks: Not yet able to confirm that the EMV+PIN is a more secure card method. Tried it at a Chase ATM just to see if it would work. Got logged in, but no cash advance possible, and confirmed with a call to DC that, yeah, Chase ATMs don't work with DC yet.

Advantage: The card has MC PayPass, which allows touchless payment at NFC devices.

Drawback: Because Touchless is activated, the EMV+PIN is not used in that situation, no PIN, and large charges have been approved for others just by waving the card at the NFC device. Great if it's you holding the card, not so great if a thief picks it up. Not so different from cards today.

Have not had a chance to test the access to airport lounges yet. That and the EMV+PIN were the main reasons for me to get the card.

Points will transfer 1:1 to Delta SkyMiles so it's like an additional feeder along with my Delta AMEX card, an advantage because then charge activity doesn't get split up into multiple FF plans.

Yes, that is an appealing feature when it comes time to do apps/go for CLIs.

Re: Diners Club card

If it doesn't ever report, we'll have to wait and see once they get their stuff organized.

lol

An ongoing debate. I think it will report, because it's a MC, not to be confused with the old Diners Charge card.

If it was going to report wouldn't it have happened by now? Seems like they came out quite awhile back, but maybe less time has passed than I thought.
