My statement cuts on the 10th so if buy stuff on the 9 it will show as a carried balance. Damnit!

Re: Discover 2% Cash Back on 2/9, anything no limits!

My statement date is on the 12th, so I can't use the 2% day.  Discover seems to do that a lot.  I have no doubt it's some kind of ploy to get people to report a balance so they can charge daily residuals on the next cycle.  Sneaky.

what do you mean by a carried balalnce?  as long as you pay it off every month you're creditors can see that...

also are you planning on apping for new credit in the next 30 days?  if not no worries

please explain this daily residuals thing?  as long as you pay your balance in full by your payment due date there are no interest fees.

Re: Discover 2% Cash Back on 2/9, anything no limits!

If i use my card on the 9th the trans wont show up until the 10th or 11th and my statements close on t. 10th. So it will close with a balance and it will report. I cant use my card on the 9th and pay it right away i have to wait until it posts. I dont like letting more than 1 card report. Even if im not apping.

If you carry a balance from the previous month, they charge daily residuals instead of giving you a grace period for the next month.  It's in the fine print.
