I signed in to my Discover account, and spotted a offer for $5 rewards if I ordered a gift card. Fortunately I still had enough rewards available to order one

You might want to check if you received this offer. it was on the right hand column below the cashback, Shop Discover, and Extras links.

I guess I'll delay my purchase until the gift card arrives.

Yep, main page.

I remember early this summer when many of us received an offer for 2% cashback, I didn't recieve the offer until 10 days after it was first reported. And not everyone gets these offers, they are sort of random.

In my case, I cashed out all my cashback about 1.5+ months ago purchasing two Gift Cards, so that may have contributed to my receiving this offer now.
