I thought the same, but they said it has to be after 6 billing cycles and after July 4th.  Oh well. Do you have the Request Increase button showing up already on the home page?

okay.  They said one can call in or request through the online chat feature after July 4th, so the Request Increase button may not be as significant. So, dont worry!

Do you have to have six statements before asking for CLI? My card was opened Jan 6th and the first statement didn't close until March and I didn't get a statement last month for not using. I only have 3 statement right now and I'm hoping to CLI next month.

Something strange happened on my account. Last week all the sudden the luv button appeared and I was able to fill in the CLI form. But as expected the system asked for permission to HP and then I hit the cancel button as HP for Discover is a NO GO for me. Called and was told my account does not yet allow CLI requests. Wonder why they added that button on my online account.:smileysurprised: My account is 6 months old but not yet 6th statement. (07/02) Anyway now it looks that the button is blocked "you already have a pending CLI request" and this for 7 days. It will not allow a new trial. Wonder if this will ever get reset next month so I can try again?

Update:

So, after 6th statement got generated, i did call Discover and requested for a CLI using softpull. They told me that the only way my acount would get a CLI is if i take a HP. So, i backed off and told them to not do it.

 

when i called the automated system, i hear an option for CLI. If i go through that way, will it be an automatic HP? If that is the case, I wont try that either.

 

Any suggestions, would be appreciated.

I'm kinda confused.

A friend of mine just got approved, and during the phone call to get her card activated, the agent told her that she could call in after 3 months to get her credit limit increased.


There has been another thread mentioning about this policy change as well, but several people had tried but were told to wait for 6 months.

Does that 3 month CLI window apply for certain customers only then? :/
