Congrats on the Discover Card. It is a great card that I racked up quite a balance with it already! I just want to use it all the time.

Hi Chris,

Know the feeling. The Discover More Card is my favorite card and I put hundreds of dollars on it each month and pay in full each month. If I just paid the minimum I'd be in debt in the thousands..HaHa

+1 Stellar customer service, they answer the phone and tell you they are in Phoenix, Salt Lake City, or some other city that I can actually pronounce! You don't have to deal with "Peggy" Smiley Happy

Re: Discover Approval

Shop discover is great 5-30% cash back depending on the store. On your birthday month you get an extra 5% on all purchases for that month, so that 5-30% becomes 10-35% for that month. You can't beat that!

On your birthday month it is 2% cashback bonus.  My birthday month was in January:

Congrats!  I've been getting "pre-approvals" like every week from Discover!  I'm really itching to get this card and your approval isn't helping my cause!  Ha-Ha!  I'm really happy for your approval and let us know about the Capital One Cash card.  I'm interested in how the CS is and if Capital One treats it's Prime cards better then the lowly builders. Since you asked, when I called, I got the same great CS folks I dealt with having one of their rebuilders. So that's no different it's still lousy.

In terms of CLIs, can't tell you as I haven't had it but two months now. I am not expecting much. Honestly I'd rather they didn't give it a CLI at all than a lousy 500 dollar increase. I figure it will be replaced when I next do an app spree in summer, but we'll see, I'll be open minded until I have the facts.

After dealing with Cap One customer "service" that just sounds amazing to me.
