I read that Discover is forgiving and that their have been approvals of folks that have CO and BK them.
I got approved with a 5yr BK, I also burned them back in the late 90's, so they are forgiving. Give 'em a shot!

There's hope! I had a CO back in 2001. Didn't try to app because of the blacklist rumors. Thanks for sharing! Will put them on my future CC list.

I may try them again next year. I might even just wait until the BK falls off (in a year).
Would Discover be willing to open up again to someone who burned them in about 2008 for at least $8,000 in bankruptcy? (not paid back)
Anything is possible with a variety of lenders. Some blacklists may last longer than others for some individuals but there's anecdotal evidence that some folks can eventually re-establish those relationships whether paid/unpaid COs or IIB.

I think it depends on the progress they made in their credit rebuilding. They will look at credit established, payment pattern, and utilization.

my friend got discover about 8 years after bk but i know many that get in much much sooner. just depends.
