Discover CLI - HOP or SP

I am sorry for asking a question that is all over the web, however I am seeing conflicting information.  Can anyone who has done a CLI increase request with Discover recently confirm whether it is a HP or SP?

Thanks!

Re: Discover CLI - HOP or SP

Online it will ask if nothing available. Calling they will ask if they can pull your report if nothing is available with a sp. Calling is probably the safe bet.

Discover IT $17k / US Bank Ace (VSig) $13.5K / US Bank Cash+ (VSig) $13.5k
Sam's Mastercard $15k / Walmart Mastercard $10k / Blispay $7.5k PayPal Ex MC $10.8k
CareCredit 5k / Husq $5k / Cap1 QS $4.5k / Barclay Ring $5.35k / Citi DC (WMC) $12k

Re: Discover CLI - HOP or SP

if you use site or automated system it can be an SP, if you can't get SP that way , then it will probably be an HP for cli

+1

I called and was transferred to an awesome credit analyst.  He was able to confirm that he could give me a 2X CLI with only a soft pull.

Note that I did NOT have the option available online or via the phone tree.  So YMMV when it comes to trying to figure if one is available to you.

I would call...you have nothing to lose.

Discover It - $25.5k | Sam's Club MasterCard - $25k | Chase Sapphire Reserve $23.8k | Amex EveryDay - $23k | Barclays JetBlue - $23k | Citi TYP - $7.1k | Cap1 Quicksilver WMC - $7k | Marriott Rewards Premier Visa Signature - $6.5k | Chase Freedom - $3.2k | Amex Gold - NPSL |

What everyone else has said - plus - it was some of our cases that we had to take 1-2 HP CLsI with Discover before getting approved for SP ones-

Of course -- it can go either way.  I'd also suggest calling if concerned.

Re: Discover CLI - HOP or SP

I called in yesterday and was told that its a SP for a random CLI (YMMV) but if you would like to request a higher line than what they offer you with the SP it would be a HP.
