I called earlier today and they said it was a soft pull. He said they are trained to tell you very specifically they are gonna do a hard pull and that you agree.
Guess I'm gonna SD for a few months and maybe that will get some attention lol

Went from $12,600 to $20,000 with a HP and income verification (they called my work HR). As long as you don't have any issues I would call and go for the CLI.
They do income verification at $20k and higher, that's fine but I don't want a HP. Already have three this month and I really need to chill right now to avoid problems. Oh well, I'll pass on Discover for now.
