Discover Card Online Account Setup

I recently applied with Discover Card with an online preapproval.  During the application process I was asked to setup a logon userid and password, which I did.  I did not get instant approval, but was later approved after 4 days when a representative called and went over my application.

My question is whether I will be able to logon on to my account prior to receiving the card or must the card be activate first?  Right now it says account is still being setup.  The approval was today.

Give it a couple of days... they will email you when the online account is ready.

Yes, you will receive an email stating your online account is ready.

When you do set up your account online, don't forget to sign up for the current rewards categories, and on Sept. 1st, for the new cashback categories.
