Re: Discover Card

11.3 sounds like a discover limit. They don't like round numbers for some reason. I was at 1200 for a while; and I was at 4200 for a year. Seems like I remember being at 1800 for a while. The limit I have now is the first "round number" limit ive had.

Wow; awesome limit. If you don't don't have a lot of other cards then that's normal for discover. They go high on limits for people who are just getting started because they realize that people have more loyalty towards their first major card issuer. They want to be the card that you never close :smileyhappy:

Makes sense....this is my only card.

Re: Discover Card

In that case soleilbabe, Congrats!

Seems like your limit is legit. :smileyhappy:

Discover is a great company to do business with. Ive held their card since 1999.

I don't have a travel card but if you book travel through shop discover then you get 5% cashback. They also have specials where you can get up to 20% off on certain packages offered by their affiliates.

I think you will really like discover :smileyhappy: welcome to the family!

Sometimes they will double your total cl and give you that as your limit or match your total cl of all accounts. Say when you applied you had a total cl of $5650 made up of various cc and store cards. So they x that by 2 and boom $11300 cl. They matched my total cl. Congratulations and enjoy. Love my discover.

LOL I wish they would do it for me, I have a total personal CL of $30,500  so double would be $61,000 LOL although I wouldn't want ast $40,000 cause if it does it doesn't factor on your credit/debt ratio. Since usually credit limits above that does not report.

Re: Discover Card

That is great. When I got my Discover, my score was in the low 700's (but with limited history) and they only gave me $1,080. Totally random number.

But in less than 3 years, its grown to $13,300. Treat Discover right and they'll treat you right.

Re: Discover Card

Mine came in at $13,140. Don't know why such an odd amount...but I'll take it. I was probably in the mid-700s at the time.

lol that is odd, but I think they should always do it like $13,910 instead lol, cause that's $13,000 + sales tax LOL makes it easy :smileywink:

Re: Discover Card

I was just below 700 score and started at 1,000 in Dec,2011.

Oct 2012 asked for increase and they gave me 1,000.

Debt  (7,000)  + Installment loan debt is at 10,000.

Next year all of my taxes will be going to this debt.
