Errrrrrr! Discover and Chase are both doing 5% CB on Gas Stations July-Sept.

Nice when Chase and Discover are rotated so we can take advantage of the Gas back to back. Smiley Tongue

I think they do it to compete with one another. Just like the fourth quarter, everyone is gonna do department stores.

Why choose? Spend 3k on gas and use both.

Re: Discover/Chase 5% CashBack July-Sept

I've been using my Chase this qtr for the restaurants.

I'll switch up and give Discover some attention in Q3. Maybe, then, they will offer me some of those additional cashback promotions!!

Chase Freedom for sure, it ends up being around 15% cash back equivalent with the way I use points. If I don't use up all $3,000 ($1,500 x 2) of the cap, I will buy gas gift cards to cover me for the following months.

Re: Discover/Chase 5% CashBack July-Sept

bribro,

Is there any such thing as Gas giftcards? Where can I get them from?

Looks like I haven't consumed even half of the $1,500 limit for this quarter's restaurant category. Are you guys sure restaurant gift cards are eligible for 5%? I'm thinking to get Subway giftcards as I go there a lot.
Walmart Discover $10,000... Chase SW $8,500... Freedom $7,000... CSP $6,000... Amex Delta $3,000... Amex BCP $2,000... Local CU $1,500...
