Re: Discover - Co applicant

With DCu get your membership established first. With both CUs two separate HP's for membership and cc's.

Re: Discover - Co applicant

I know it's not a question that can be quite answered. But in your opinion which one should I go for? I read about the 2 pulls in other threads. Since I am headed to the garden it's ok.

Re: Discover - Co applicant

DCU and Alliant will pull EQ. How's that report? Number of inq's ?

Edit: just re-read your post in number of inq's.

You might want to wait for Discovers letter -it might give you some indication on how your reports are looking

Re: Discover - Co applicant

Ok will do. I actually pulled a free report a couple of weeks back. Other than the newness of the currently open accounts and the one CA ( 4 years old) there are no negs. I make just under a 100k. I will prbly apply for membership first and wait for the letter before I app for CC

Re: Discover - Co applicant

thanks lexie

It looks like atleast on the banking side Alliant has better rates than DCU. Other than that both look similar. Both are remote for me. So, thats a wash. Any reason not to go with allian vs DCU. And the correct alliant is this one http://www.alliantcreditunion.org/..Correct? Thank you very much

Re: Discover - Co applicant

I have both actually. Been with DCU the longest and love that you have access to your DD 1-2 days early. DCU is full shared banking where Alliant is not. I am on the West Coast so neither are close to me but if I wanted to go in a shared branch to transact business I could only do that with DCU. Alliant is by ATM only unless you are close to one of their branches.

Again, both of them are good choices.

Re: Discover - Co applicant

Got my welcome email for the DCU membership today. Pretty straightforward. They asked me to fill out an application on paper and email them a scanned copy. Overall took 2 days.
Thanks for the advice Lexie

Re: Discover - Co applicant

BRAVO

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?
