Discover Credit Bureau Reporting

Good Evening, all!

I recently applied and was approved for a Discover It, my first card!

I already have about a year with an AU card, but I'm waiting for this one to show up so I can start building my own credit.

I read on here that it can take a couple of months for a new card to be reported. Is that true? And, if so, will they report lets say 3 months history or will it show the age starting from when they report it?

Re: Discover Credit Bureau Reporting

History begins with the open date which is the date your application was approved.

Re: Discover Credit Bureau Reporting

When I was approved for my Discover it, reporting started very soon after I got it, less than a month.

Re: Discover Credit Bureau Reporting

Time to first report can vary with any creditor/card -- not just Discover.
